ANNE BRENNER
PHOTOGRAPHY
Digital Prints, Limited edition
In a Canadian forest Anne Brenner obtained nocturnal images of animals.
Guided by a ranger, she set up camera traps in the forest to get photographs and videos of bears, deer and wolves.
She wanted to interact in the animal’s territory where humans do not live.
Back in her studio, she uses these black and white photos as a basis to her artwork.
Brenner's process involves several stages using acrylic painting and photographic transfer.
"A Secret Life of Animals" appropriates images of the natural world and aims to create a link between man and the wild world.
In the current ecological and societal conflict, we are witnessing a change of
paradigm that combines science, art and philosophy to build a relationship where
living worlds would be allied.
